Stymie as a literary endeavor began in 2008 with a focus on literature and golf, with issues published in a magazine style format annually, this changed in 2010 when our publication schedule shifted to twice a year and our focus expanded to sport and games in literature. In 2012, Stymie went through another round of renovations and moved toward a more regular publishing schedule centered around content here on the website - a move that better allowed us to feature outstanding fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, and critical thought.
